Modis Malaysia Visit Strengthens Ties and Focuses on Skills Training

Kuala Lumpur, February 9: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently concluded a two-day visit to Malaysia. During his trip, he engaged in discussions with local leaders. M. Kulasegaran, a member of Malaysia’s House of Representatives, described the meeting as beneficial and enjoyable, emphasizing the need for cooperation against terrorism.

Kulasegaran highlighted key issues during Modi’s visit, stating, “I raised several matters that India could address. The Prime Minister acknowledged them, particularly the need for collaboration on skills training. India has made significant advancements in artificial intelligence and big data, achieving success even in lunar exploration and scientific research. The Prime Minister agreed to cooperate on these issues and assist the Indian community residing here.”

He expressed gratitude for the personal meeting with Modi, noting that many Indians are eager to advance these matters. “I appreciate that the Prime Minister met with us personally. He interacted with just 15 parliamentary members, senators, ministers, and deputy ministers. It was beneficial, enjoyable, and productive.”

Praising Modi, he added, “I have met Prime Minister Modi before, but this was our first in-depth conversation. We had one-on-one discussions with the group. He was approachable and sincere. It’s evident he is forward-thinking, aiming to create change not only in India but also in other parts of the world where friendships can be fostered. This approach nurtures global relationships, promotes progress, and brings peace and stability.”

Regarding Modi’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism, Kulasegaran stated, “Every country must remain vigilant against terrorism. Ignoring it can lead to severe consequences. Some may think that if they are not troubled by terrorism outside their borders, they are safe. However, issues can arise within their own countries. Malaysia, India, and other nations must collaborate to control such threats.”
