Himachal Pradesh CM Launches Key Development Projects in Amb

Shimla, February 5: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhu Vidhinder Sukhu inaugurated two significant development projects worth ₹16.26 crores in the Amb sub-division of Una district on Wednesday. These initiatives aim to strengthen local infrastructure, improve connectivity, and directly benefit residents.

The Chief Minister inaugurated the upgraded Takarla to Baduhi road, developed at a cost of ₹6.57 crores. This approximately 5-kilometer stretch will serve over 11,000 residents in the area.

Additionally, he launched the Amb-Gagret-Harijan Basti road and its connecting bridge, completed at a cost of ₹9.50 crores and spanning 6.50 kilometers. This bridge will significantly enhance road connectivity between the Chintpurni and Gagret assembly constituencies.

During the event, the Chief Minister also unveiled the Samarthya Gyan Deep Library and Gymnasium in Maidi Khas, built at a cost of around ₹20 lakhs. This center is expected to foster educational, intellectual, and physical development among the youth.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the state government is committed to promoting holistic village development and strengthening infrastructure. He stated that roads and bridges are not merely physical structures but bridges to development, opportunities, and self-reliance in villages.

The government’s priority is to ensure that the benefits of development reach the most marginalized individuals and achieve balanced and sustainable growth in rural areas. Sukhu reiterated the importance of making sure that the advantages of development reach the last person in rural regions and emphasized the need for balanced and sustainable growth across the state. He also took the opportunity to listen to public grievances.
