New Delhi, February 4: Delhi Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa has sharply reacted to a recent altercation in Parliament between Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu. He asserts that the Congress party has not changed its mindset, and today’s incident serves as clear evidence of this.
Sirsa took to social media platform X, condemning Gandhi’s use of derogatory language towards Bittu, labeling him a traitor. “This statement is deeply embarrassing,” he wrote.
He emphasized that a Sikh is a leader and can never be a traitor. If anyone is a traitor, it is the Gandhi family, who attacked the Sri Darbar Sahib with tanks, demolished the Sri Akal Takht Sahib, and burned innocent Sikhs alive by placing tires around their necks. He reiterated that the Congress mindset remains unchanged.
Sirsa stated that such derogatory remarks and negative sentiments towards Sikhs cannot be tolerated. He believes this is not only an insult to Sikhs but also reflects the same venom present in the Congress party during the 1980s.
He called for immediate action from the Lok Sabha Speaker, insisting that such comments and sentiments should not be tolerated in any form.
He stressed that this disrespect and hatred towards Sikhs is part of the Congress mentality and must be addressed. Sirsa firmly stated that the sins committed by Congress leaders cannot be denied and that stringent action should be taken against them. He urged the Lok Sabha Speaker to intervene promptly to prevent the perpetuation of such derogatory and negative attitudes towards Sikhs.
