Young Man Dies After Falling into Deep Pit in Janakpuri

New Delhi, February 7: The tragic death of 25-year-old Kamal Dhyani, who fell into a deep pit dug by the water board in the Janakpuri area, has shaken the local community. The incident has sparked political reactions and raised concerns about safety measures in the area.

BJP MP Kamaljeet Sahrawat expressed his sorrow over the incident, stating that safety arrangements were in place. However, he questioned why residents attempted to navigate through the pit. He described the situation as extremely unfortunate and urged people to adhere to safety regulations in such areas to avoid negligence.

Meanwhile, MLA Sandeep Sahrawat confirmed that the officials responsible for the incident have been removed from their positions. He stated that immediate action was taken as soon as he received full details about the incident.

Sahrawat emphasized that under the BJP government, any official found negligent would not be spared. He lamented the loss of a young life, assuring that a thorough investigation is underway to determine the level of negligence and identify those responsible.

BJP spokesperson Yasir Jilani also labeled the incident as tragic and unfortunate. He noted that the government is fully alert and has already suspended three officials in response to the incident. According to him, this action demonstrates the government’s seriousness regarding public safety issues.

He further mentioned that strict directives have been issued to prevent such incidents in the future. Any agency or department found negligent during operations will face similar stringent actions. The safety of the public is the government’s top priority, and the Delhi government is committed to fulfilling this responsibility with utmost sincerity.
