Shahjahanpur, February 7: Durvijay Singh, the regional president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), visited Shahjahanpur on Saturday, where he held a press conference at the district cooperative bank auditorium. During this event, he emphasized the key features of the recently presented Union Budget for 2026-27, stating that it will strengthen the country’s economy and benefit all sections of society.
Singh remarked that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, this budget is a significant step towards realizing the vision of a ‘Developed India.’ He noted that the budget is based on three main duties: accelerating economic growth, fulfilling public aspirations, and ensuring inclusive development. He highlighted that the budget places a strong emphasis on infrastructure development, which is expected to create large-scale employment opportunities and bolster the economy. Public capital expenditure has been increased to ₹12.2 lakh crore, aimed at enhancing the pace of development.
While discussing provisions for farmers, youth, women, the poor, and the middle class, he stated that the focus is on increasing farmers’ income, providing job opportunities for youth, and strengthening education and healthcare services. Notably, significant allocations have been made for women’s empowerment in this budget.
Singh revealed plans to establish hostels in each district to promote girls’ education, ensuring they receive quality education in a safe environment. A total of ₹28,183 crore has been earmarked for women’s welfare, which includes the expansion of the ‘Lakshmi Didi’ scheme and efforts to enhance women’s participation in the workforce.
He also mentioned that the budget allocates ₹10,000 crore for the Bio-Pharma Power Mission, initiatives like the India Semiconductor Mission 2.0, and measures to strengthen the MSME sector, all aimed at advancing the self-reliant India initiative. The organization’s primary task is to disseminate the government’s welfare schemes to the public. BJP district officials, workers, and esteemed citizens were present at the press conference.
Durvijay Singh concluded, “This budget lays a strong foundation for turning Prime Minister Modi’s dream of a developed India into reality. With a focus on infrastructure, women’s empowerment, and job creation, the economy will gain new strength. BJP workers are committed to bringing these schemes to every household.”
