Hyderabad, February 4: Nitin Naveen, the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accused Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of crossing all limits of appeasement politics on Wednesday.
He claimed that the Chief Minister’s sole objective is to promote division within society.
Nitin Naveen was on his first visit to Telangana after becoming the BJP president, addressing a public rally in Mahbubnagar as part of the party’s campaign for the municipal elections scheduled for February 11.
He stated that BJP workers are determined to fight against the Telangana government’s appeasement politics.
The BJP president remarked that the Chief Minister’s statement, “Congress means Muslims, Muslims mean Congress,” indicates that the party operates solely for the Muslim vote bank.
Describing Telangana’s political landscape as delicate, he accused CM Revanth Reddy of consistently suppressing the local populace, their Telugu language, and culture. He also alleged that the leader disrespects the traditions and culture of Sanatan Dharma.
Nitin Naveen charged the state government with cutting budgets for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes while increasing the budget for minorities.
He claimed that the Telangana Waqf Board is the richest waqf board, owning 77,000 acres of land, and accused the state government of strengthening the Waqf Board to appease Muslims.
Nitin Naveen alleged that during the last two years of Congress rule, several temples were desecrated. He warned the ruling party that BJP workers will not remain silent about the ongoing attacks on Sanatan Dharma. He stated that if these attacks continue, the party will not remain in power for long.
