Police Uncover Murder Plot in Jharkhand After Charred Body Found

Giridih, February 5: The police in Giridih district, Jharkhand, have made significant progress in the case of a partially burned female body discovered in the Kariye Pahadi forest area. Investigations revealed that the woman’s murder was orchestrated by her husband. A total of five suspects, including the husband and mother-in-law, have been arrested.

Among those detained are the victim’s husband, Jabir Ansari, and mother-in-law, Jaibun Nisha, along with Rocky Ansari, Guddu Ali, and Sharafat Ansari.

Authorities recovered several items related to the crime, including two motorcycles, five mobile phones, the victim’s clothing, bangles, matches, a bottle, and a jute bag.

Dr. Bimal Kumar, the Superintendent of Police in Giridih, reported that the charred body of an unidentified woman was found on the morning of January 30, causing a stir in the community. In response to the seriousness of the case, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed under the leadership of SDPO Dhananjay Kumar Ram.

The investigation involved a forensic science team, a dog squad, fingerprint experts, and a technical team. During the inquiry, police gathered information on missing women from nearby police jurisdictions. This led to the discovery of Shahina Parveen, who had been reported missing from the Dumri police area on January 28.

Family members were called in for identification, confirming that the charred remains belonged to Shahina Parveen from Chino village in the Dumri area. Following a complaint from the victim’s father, Tahul Ansari, a case was registered at the Bogodar police station under charges of murder and destruction of evidence.

Subsequently, police conducted raids and arrested Jabir Ansari and Jaibun Nisha. During interrogation, both admitted to being involved in the murder conspiracy. The SP revealed that Jabir Ansari intended to eliminate his wife to marry someone else.

To achieve this goal, he conspired with the other suspects to murder Shahina Parveen and disposed of her body by burning it in the forest. The involvement of two minors has also come to light, and actions are being taken against them under the Juvenile Justice Act. The process of sending all arrested individuals into judicial custody is underway.
