Gujarat Chief Minister Launches ₹950 Crore Development Projects in Ambaji

Banaskantha, February 8: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel laid the foundation stone for development projects worth ₹950 crores at Adyashakti Dham Ambaji on Saturday. This initiative aims to enhance infrastructure and connectivity for pilgrims visiting the site.

The Shakti Corridor project, estimated to cost around ₹1,632 crores, will connect the main temple of Ambaji with Gabbar Hill and Mansarovar.

Officials have reported that a long-term, visionary master plan has been developed to cater to the needs of pilgrims and tourists over the next 25 years.

The first phase of the project includes a multi-level parking facility, an underpass road, passenger accommodation, pedestrian pathways, a divine darshan square, Shakti Path, an amphitheater, and a light-and-sound show.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Patel stated that inspired and guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the comprehensive and forward-looking development of Adyashakti Dham Ambaji is underway.

He emphasized that the master plan is designed with future needs in mind, ensuring that Ambaji is well-prepared for the next 25 years.

Highlighting the Prime Minister’s broad vision for heritage-related development, Patel mentioned the restoration of pilgrimage sites across the country, embodying the mantra of “development and heritage.”

He noted that several sacred sites have seen new developments under this approach.

The Chief Minister remarked that the Ambaji temple holds a special place among the 51 Shakti Peeths, attracting a large number of devotees each year.

He added that the annual Shakti Peeth Parikrama festival enables millions of devotees to visit, with over five lakh participants in the recently held event.
