NDMC Hosts Successful Grievance Camp in New Delhi

New Delhi, February 8: The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) organized a grievance camp at the NDMC Convention Center, where 61 complaints were formally received and addressed by various departments.

This camp provided a platform for residents and service users in central Delhi to resolve public grievances, disseminate information, and receive prompt solutions.

Complaints raised by attendees were related to personnel, civil engineering, horticulture, public health, enforcement, commercial, tax, and property departments.

An official statement noted that hundreds of residents and service users visited the camp to seek guidance and information about various NDMC civic services.

A key feature of the camp was the direct, face-to-face interaction between citizens and departmental officials, promoting transparency, clarity, and swift decision-making.

A thorough review meeting was conducted to address complaints on-site whenever possible. Cases requiring policy intervention were clearly explained to the complainants, along with the expected timelines for resolution, ensuring informed and realistic expectations, the statement added.

To ensure effective and accountable grievance resolution, over 100 officials and staff from more than 30 NDMC departments were deployed at the camp. Dedicated departmental support desks were closely monitored by heads of the respective departments, highlighting NDMC’s commitment to providing timely and responsible civic services.

In addition to such grassroots initiatives, NDMC has strengthened its digital outreach with the launch of the contactless grievance resolution platform, ‘Jan Suvidha Portal,’ available on the NDMC website.
