New Delhi, February 7: Union Health and Family Welfare Minister JP Nadda urged the youth on Saturday to work responsibly and contribute positively to society.
Addressing the 2025-26 graduation ceremony of Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI), Nadda emphasized that this moment marks not just the end of an academic journey, but the beginning of a new phase of responsibility towards the nation and society.
He highlighted that graduates are fortunate to start their professional lives in the second phase of Amrit Kaal, which extends until 2047, a period during which India aspires to become a fully developed nation.
Nadda noted that this era brings numerous opportunities along with significant responsibilities. He encouraged the youth to contribute effectively to the country’s development, always remembering that society has played a role in their success. In return, they should selflessly serve society.
He also urged students to advance with strong values, ethical behavior, and a commitment to public service. During his speech, he pointed out the transformative progress achieved under Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s visionary leadership over the past 11 years.
Nadda mentioned that while there were only six AIIMS previously, 23 have now been established, creating a robust network of advanced healthcare institutions across the country. He further stated that India has made remarkable progress in healthcare indicators, particularly in maternal and child health, as well as in combating infectious and non-communicable diseases, including significant reductions in tuberculosis and malaria cases and deaths.
The minister emphasized initiatives like Ayushman Bharat, Ayushman Arogya Mandir, and large-scale population screening programs, which have significantly reduced out-of-pocket healthcare expenses, making healthcare more accessible and affordable.
During the graduation ceremony, degrees were awarded to a total of 2,150 students across various fields, including engineering, management, law, education, science, and healthcare. This group included 521 undergraduate students, 58 postgraduate students, and 11 doctoral scholars, marking a significant academic achievement for the graduating class.
