Jaipur, February 6: Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana of Thailand arrived in Jaipur on Friday for a four-day visit. She will explore various historical, cultural, and heritage sites in the state until February 10.
The princess landed at Jaipur International Airport via a special flight, where stringent security measures were implemented by the police and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Photography and videography by the public were prohibited under diplomatic protocol.
From the airport, she proceeded directly to Rambagh Palace, where she will be staying during her visit to Jaipur.
During her stay, Princess Sirivannavari will be introduced to Rajasthan’s famous tradition of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava.’ Her itinerary includes visits to Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, City Palace, and Tripolia Bazaar, where she will closely observe the state’s rich art, handicrafts, cultural heritage, and traditional lifestyle.
A convoy of luxury vehicles was seen on the city’s roads under official protocol. After her tour of Jaipur, the princess will head to Jodhpur, where she will visit Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace, and Jaswant Thada.
Throughout her visit, she will also be informed about Rajasthan’s architectural heritage and historical significance. According to officials, this trip aims to strengthen cultural and bilateral relations between India and Thailand.
In light of the princess’s visit, the state administration is on high alert. On Wednesday, Chief Secretary V. Srinivasan held a high-level review meeting to assess preparations. Additionally, coordination meetings were conducted with officials from the Thai Royal Embassy to ensure the smooth execution of the program.
Special arrangements for security, traffic management, and protocol have been made in both Jaipur and Jodhpur.
Notably, Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana is an internationally renowned fashion designer with her own luxury fashion brand, popular in several countries. Besides fashion, she serves as a Major in the Royal Thai Army and is an accomplished equestrian. She has a deep interest in sports, art, and culture.
