Terrorist Abdul Rahman Killed in Faridabad Jail Attack

Faridabad, February 9: A shocking incident has emerged from Faridabad district in Haryana. Abdul Rahman, a 20-year-old terrorist imprisoned in the local jail, has been murdered.

According to reports, the attack occurred within the jail, where another inmate struck him on the head with a sharp object.

Police spokesperson Yashpal Singh identified the assailant as Arun Chaudhary, a Kashmiri youth. The attack took place on Sunday night, resulting in Abdul Rahman’s immediate death.

Notably, Abdul Rahman was arrested on March 2, 2025, near Pali village, while in possession of two hand grenades. He was allegedly plotting a bombing in Ayodhya and is reported to be from Milkipur in Uttar Pradesh.

Authorities discovered several videos on Abdul Rahman’s possession, containing sensitive information related to the Ram Temple. This led to his arrest by the Special Task Force (STF), which promptly defused the grenades found with him.

The assailant, who attacked Abdul Rahman, was previously incarcerated in a Jammu and Kashmir jail before being transferred to Faridabad. He was also housed in a high-security barrack.

The murder of Abdul Rahman has raised serious concerns about security protocols within the jail. This is not the first incident of violence against inmates, but such an occurrence raises alarms given the stringent security measures in place.

The police have initiated an investigation immediately following the incident. They are interrogating all inmates in the facility and working to identify any accomplices or potential supporters of the attacker. This incident has sent shockwaves throughout Faridabad district.
