Mumbai, February 7: Shiv Sena spokesperson Shaina NC has commended the India-US trade agreement while also targeting Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Arvind Sawant over his controversial statement.
In response to the trade deal, Shaina NC stated that Prime Minister Modi deserves congratulations for his commitment to dialogue and ensuring India’s success. She emphasized that this agreement marks a significant victory for India, bolstering imports, exports, and the ‘Make in India‘ initiative. Shaina NC expressed confidence that India will witness many more successful agreements in the future.
She also praised the achievements of the youth, highlighting the talents of 19-year-old daughters, women, and the Indian cricket team, asserting that India’s capabilities are shining globally. This success, she noted, comes after considerable struggle, and all youths and their families deserve recognition.
Addressing Arvind Sawant’s earlier controversial remarks, Shaina NC took a firm stance. She remarked that every woman entering Politics faces significant challenges, and such derogatory language reflects the DNA of UBT. She noted that Deputy CM Eknath Shinde has always respected women and ensured their safety.
Using offensive language against any woman is utterly disgraceful, she stated. An apology after the fact does not resolve the issue; strict punishment should be enforced to set an example in society. When an MP disrespects a woman, it negatively impacts ordinary citizens, and such individuals should engage in self-reflection.
Shaina NC recalled her father’s close friendship with Balasaheb Thackeray, who always regarded her as a daughter. She asserted that if Balasaheb were alive today, he would have reprimanded Arvind Sawant, explaining that such behavior is not part of Shiv Sena’s core values.
