Scotland batted first, scoring 207 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. This total marks the highest score by any associate nation in a single innings of the T20 World Cup. The previous record was held by the USA, who scored 197 runs against Canada in the 2024 T20 World Cup.

Scotland secured victory by 73 runs, marking the second-largest win by an associate nation in terms of runs in T20 World Cup history. Nepal holds the record for the largest margin, having defeated Hong Kong by 80 runs in 2014.

Michael Leask from Scotland delivered an outstanding performance, taking 4 wickets for just 17 runs in 4 overs. This is the third-best bowling performance by an associate nation in T20 World Cup history. The top two performances are by Ahsan Malik of the Netherlands, who took 5 wickets for 19 runs against South Africa in 2014, and Paul van Meekeren, also from the Netherlands, who claimed 4 wickets for 11 runs against Ireland in 2016.
