Rahul Gandhis Statements Harm the Nation, Claims BJP Leader

Ranchi, February 4: BJP leaders have responded to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi‘s recent statements in the Lok Sabha. They raised concerns about his behavior, the functioning of Parliament, and the role of the opposition.

BJP spokesperson Pratul Shah Dev criticized Gandhi, likening him to a “loose cannon” whose remarks cause more harm within the country. He alleged that it appears as if Gandhi has taken on the role of speaking against the nation.

Shah Dev further stated that when the Lok Sabha Speaker referred to the rules, making it clear that no member could be accused without permission, those rules should have been respected. He emphasized that maintaining the dignity of Parliament is the responsibility of all members.

Bihar BJP President Sanjay Sarawagi added that as the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, Gandhi must manage the speaking time allocated to his party members effectively. He explained that speaking time in both the Lok Sabha and Assembly is determined based on the number of members. If Congress requires more time, each member should speak individually. Sarawagi also claimed that wherever elections are taking place, the Congress party is facing defeats.

On the same issue, Bihar Minister Dilip Jaiswal advised Gandhi to understand that the Lok Sabha operates according to the Constitution, and no member can speak without the Speaker’s permission. He accused Gandhi and some opposition alliance MPs, who have even faced suspension, of attempting to undermine the dignity of the House. Jaiswal stated that such individuals should first respect the decorum of Parliament.

According to BJP leaders, adherence to rules and traditions in Parliament is paramount, while the opposition argues that their voices are being suppressed.
