Punjab Government Committed to Equality Inspired by Guru Ravidas

Chandigarh, February 6: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced on Thursday that the state government is fully committed to creating an equal society, following the teachings of Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj.

The Chief Minister stated that in honor of Guru Ji’s great legacy, a state-level gathering will be held on February 6 in Khuralgarh, Hoshiarpur district. He mentioned that the entire cabinet will pay homage to Shri Guru Ravidas Ji with respect and devotion during the celebration of the Prakash Parv. Mann urged the community to participate enthusiastically in this significant event.

He called on the public to follow the path shown by Shri Guru Ravidas Ji to eliminate various social evils prevalent in society. Mann emphasized that the teachings of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji serve as a beacon for all humanity, guiding the world towards a path of compassion and equality. He asserted that this divine wisdom can liberate society from numerous challenges.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the state government has already constructed a world-class memorial in Khuralgarh at a cost of approximately ₹148 crores, serving as a humble tribute to Shri Guru Ravidas Ji. This memorial is equipped with modern facilities, including a grand building, multi-level parking, Minar-e-Begampura, a community hall, a state-of-the-art auditorium, and more. Mann reiterated that Shri Guru Ravidas Ji conveyed a message of welfare for all humanity and demonstrated the way to create a society based on egalitarian values.

He expressed that Shri Guru Ravidas Ji envisioned an ideal society where no one should suffer or face hardship. Mann noted that the great life, philosophy, and teachings of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji continue to guide humanity.

He stated that Shri Guru Ravidas Ji is the spiritual leader and savior of the underprivileged and marginalized, teaching us to lead a righteous and virtuous life.

The Bhagwant Mann government has made extensive arrangements to celebrate the 649th Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji with great religious fervor. Preparations have also begun for the historic 650th Prakash Parv in 2027, which will span the entire year. A three-day state-level gathering is being organized at Shri Khuralgarh Sahib, with participation from a large number of saints, spiritual leaders, cabinet ministers, deputy speakers, and other dignitaries. This gathering will conclude on February 6 after the conclusion of the Akhand Path Sahib.

The Mann government has ensured comprehensive and uninterrupted arrangements for the community. Programs are being initiated to spread the teachings of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji from Khuralgarh Sahib to every village in Punjab, with a series of gatherings planned. Throughout the year, educational, cultural, and social initiatives will be undertaken to promote Guru Ji’s great life, philosophy, and the timeless messages of equality, brotherhood, and humanity.
