The Guild emphasized that such incidents tarnish the reputation of Mumbai, a city that the entire nation takes pride in. They stated that they are extremely troubled and saddened by this occurrence. Rohit Shetty is not only a successful filmmaker but also a vital and respected member of the film community. Targeting his home raises significant concerns for the entire industry.
The Guild described the incident as serious, asserting that it cannot be overlooked under any circumstances. They highlighted the spirit of Mumbai, which its residents have always cherished.
The statement read, “Mumbai is a city where everyone, from ordinary citizens to major artists, feels secure. This sense of safety and trust is what makes the city the content production capital of the country. Mumbai is the preferred location for shooting films, web series, and TV shows because of its secure environment. However, incidents like this undermine that trust.”
