Prime Minister Modi Engages Students in Exam Discussion

New Delhi, February 6: Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged with students during the “Exam Pe Charcha” event on Friday morning. He emphasized that one should not think that comfort is necessary for achieving potential. He noted that students from small villages are scoring well in board exams across the country.

The Prime Minister referenced a video he saw on social media, which depicted a person loading goods onto a bullock cart to earn a living, while their child studied attentively on top of the cart. This illustrated that the child was not concerned about comfort. Students also asked the Prime Minister questions about their dreams.

A student from Ladakh inquired whether children should dream big and how to achieve those dreams. In response, the Prime Minister stated that not dreaming is a crime. However, he added that merely daydreaming is not enough. He advised students to prioritize action in their lives, saying, “I must succeed where I am; only then will I move forward.”

He encouraged students to gradually develop an interest in subjects related to their dreams and to work hard on them. The Prime Minister advised that while one should not constantly vocalize their dreams to everyone, they should remain steadfast and write them down. He also suggested reading biographies of people related to their fields of interest.

During the discussion, the Prime Minister spoke about Vedic Mathematics when some students asked questions about math preparation. He recommended learning Vedic Math. Notably, he has authored a book titled “Exam Warriors,” aimed at reducing exam stress among youth and students. The book encourages viewing exams as a celebration and provides practical tips for staying stress-free and achieving success.

Many educators believe that through this book, the Prime Minister has presented a positive and visionary approach to education, prioritizing students’ knowledge and overall development. He urges everyone to view exams in the right perspective, rather than creating unnecessary stress and pressure.

This year marked the 9th edition of “Exam Pe Charcha.” The dialogue was aimed at students in grades 6 and above, as well as teachers and parents. A total of 4,50,13,379 participants registered for the event, including students, teachers, and parents. The event was made accessible to students in thousands of schools, with arrangements for live viewing.

Through this dialogue, the Prime Minister has consistently urged everyone to view exams in the correct context and not to create undue stress and pressure. This year, he directly interacted with students again.
