NDA MPs Condemn Oppositions Use of Women in Lok Sabha Protests

New Delhi, February 5: NDA MPs have expressed their objections to the actions of opposition women MPs during recent protests in the Lok Sabha. BJP MP Dharmshila Gupta described the incident as unfortunate, criticizing the opposition for using women as shields to insult the Prime Minister. She stated that this behavior disrespects not only the Prime Minister but also the Parliament and the faith in India’s democracy.

Gupta emphasized that while the Prime Minister regards women as the backbone of the nation and works towards their empowerment, the opposition is engaged in denigrating him. She condemned the actions of the opposition, asserting that the country is watching their behavior.

BJP MP Mayankbhai Nayak labeled the previous day as unfortunate for the parliamentary system. He condemned the opposition for placing women MPs at the forefront of their protests against the Prime Minister, suggesting that while the opposition may have grievances, there are proper systems and methods for protest that should be adhered to.

BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj remarked that the entire opposition, particularly Rahul Gandhi, is so disheartened by their losses that they wish to turn Parliament into a street. He noted that it was fortunate the Prime Minister was not present at that time.

BJP MP Arun Govil stated that the preparations for the protests were evident, and the actions taken were disgraceful.

TDP MP Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu commented on the events in the House, noting that the protests included not just demonstrations but also posters and placards, which he found disappointing. He stressed that there are appropriate avenues for protest outside the House and that decorum and tradition should be maintained within it. He expressed hope that the opposition would act sensibly in the future.

BJP MP Dinesh Sharma criticized the opposition’s actions as petty. He argued that engaging in such misconduct does not equate to winning any battle, and by refusing discussions in the Lok Sabha and creating chaos in the Rajya Sabha, they have only made themselves appear guilty in the eyes of the public.
