Modern Irrigation Tools Distributed to Farmers in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, February 7: In a collaborative initiative between UltraTech Rawan CSR and the Chhattisgarh government, modern irrigation tools were distributed to farmers.

To promote advanced Agriculture and enhance crop production, UltraTech Rawan CSR organized this program in partnership with the state’s agriculture department. A total of 85 selected farmers received 55 sprinkler sets along with 30 petrol and electric water lifting pumps.

This distribution was conducted under the Prime Minister’s Agricultural Irrigation Scheme and the Shakambhari Scheme. Farmers who met the criteria of these programs were chosen for the initiative. UltraTech CSR contributed to the cost of the equipment for each farmer, providing financial assistance that enabled them to easily adopt these tools. The event was successfully completed under the guidance of Plant Head Rajesh Kumar and FH-HR Karan Mistry.

Senior Agriculture Development Officer Anil Kumar Diwan (Simga Block) and Agriculture Development Officer Suchin Kumar Verma (Pahari) participated in the program. They provided detailed information to farmers about the Prime Minister’s Asha Scheme, registration for pulse and oilseed crops, seed production programs, and the utilization of crop residues. They also highlighted the benefits of sprinklers and pumps, such as water conservation, time savings, improved irrigation, and increased crop productivity. Both officials praised UltraTech CSR’s initiative and presented a certificate of appreciation to the company on behalf of the government.

To date, UltraTech Rawan CSR has delivered a total of 260 sprinkler sets and 126 petrol and electric pumps to farmers. These efforts play a crucial role in connecting local farmers with modern technology and enhancing their income. The company’s continuous commitment to strengthening the rural economy and promoting sustainable agricultural development is commendable.

The program has energized farmers, with many expressing that these tools will protect their crops from drought and water scarcity, leading to increased production. This partnership between UltraTech and the government is steering the agricultural sector in a new direction.
