Haryanas Chief Minister Highlights Livestocks Role in Self-Reliant India

Chandigarh, February 9: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated on Sunday that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the nation is advancing rapidly with the vision of a self-reliant India. In this context, the role of the livestock sector becomes increasingly significant.

Saini emphasized the vast opportunities in milk production, value addition, export potential, and the startup culture within the livestock industry. The state government aims to modernize, make it profitable, and ensure sustainability in animal husbandry. To achieve this, animal health services are being extended to every village.

During the event, Saini honored livestock farmers who secured top positions in various categories by presenting them with awards.

He remarked that the three-day livestock exhibition is a vibrant symbol of our rural culture, traditions in animal husbandry, and our growing commitment to a self-reliant India. The sacred land of Kurukshetra, which conveys messages of duty and balance, has now become a witness to our resolve for livestock development and rural prosperity.

Saini noted that over the past three days, the exhibition has provided a common platform for livestock farmers, agricultural experts, youth, scientists, and entrepreneurs.

He further stated that animal husbandry is not just a source of income but the backbone of the rural economy.

Saini concluded by saying that Haryana’s identity is shaped by dedicated livestock farmers, advanced breeds, and scientific thinking.
