Mumbai, February 5: In a recent session of the Lok Sabha, opposition leader Rahul Gandhi made remarks regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Epstein Files, stirring significant political controversy. Bollywood actress and Himachal Pradesh BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has responded sharply to Gandhi’s statements, criticizing his choice of words as inappropriate.
Kangana Ranaut stated, “The vocabulary used by Rahul Gandhi, particularly his comment about the Epstein files containing ‘a lot of goods and kebabs,’ reflects a corrupt mindset. What else can we expect from such a person?”
Rahul Gandhi had indicated that the Epstein files still hold much undisclosed information that the public deserves to know.
It is important to note that Jeffrey Epstein was a controversial figure in the United States, who died in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges involving minors. His death was officially ruled a suicide.
The U.S. Department of Justice recently released a substantial batch of documents related to the investigation of financier Jeffrey Epstein, which includes over three million pages of records, 2,000 videos, and 180,000 photographs. In a statement issued on Saturday, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal mentioned, “We have seen a report of an email from the so-called Epstein files that references the Prime Minister and his trip to Israel.”
The MEA further stated, “Aside from the Prime Minister’s official visit to Israel in July 2017, the rest of the email contains nonsense from a convicted criminal that should be completely disregarded.”
