Indian Navy Recovers Capsized Trailer Cabin Near Chennai Port

Chennai, February 8: The Indian Navy successfully recovered the driver’s cabin of a trailer that had capsized near the coastal berth of Chennai Port. This operation was carried out in coordination with the Chennai Port Authority and local police, showcasing quick and professional action.

Upon receiving the report of the incident, the Indian Navy promptly dispatched a specialized diving team for rescue operations. A total of five trained divers from various naval units, including INS Adyar, were deployed to the site.

In a press release issued by the Indian Navy on Sunday, it was stated that the divers conducted an underwater search and recovery operation while maintaining continuous coordination with port officials and surface recovery teams. Despite challenging conditions, the team executed the mission systematically, ensuring that the operation was smooth and effective.

Working alongside port officials and surface teams, the divers respectfully recovered the deceased and safely extracted the capsized cabin, allowing normal operations at the port to resume. Thanks to the swift and professional actions of the Indian Navy, the body of the deceased was retrieved with dignity, and the trailer cabin was safely recovered.

This operation also aided in the rapid restoration of normal operations at Chennai Port. Officials have praised the Indian Navy for its readiness and coordinated efforts.
