India-U.S. Trade Agreement: A Historic Leap for New India

Chennai, February 8: The recent trade agreement between India and the United States has been hailed as a historic and transformative deal by C.R. Kesavan, the national spokesperson for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He stated that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this agreement provides ‘New India’ with a significant competitive edge on the global stage.

Kesavan emphasized that the substantial tariff reductions included in this trade deal are being welcomed nationwide. There is a palpable sense of enthusiasm and hope among the populace. He noted that this India-U.S. trade deal not only facilitates easier access to the markets of the world’s largest economy but also opens doors to opportunities worth nearly $30 trillion. This will greatly benefit micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), business owners, and entrepreneurs.

He further clarified that the interests of India’s agricultural and dairy sectors have been fully safeguarded in this agreement. Special attention has been given to the welfare and security of farmers, fishermen, and skilled workers. Kesavan asserted that this deal will bring new opportunities for farmers and the working class, helping to increase their incomes.

Targeting the Congress party’s response to the trade agreement, the BJP spokesperson remarked that the public is weary of Congress’s negative politics. He claimed that the party is currently grappling with a crisis of trust, with many people doubting Rahul Gandhi‘s statements. Kesavan alleged that whenever India makes progress or takes steps toward development, Congress seems to be troubled by it.

He stated that the bitter reaction from Congress regarding this deal, which benefits farmers, fishermen, skilled laborers, and the general public, reflects their mindset. Kesavan added that India is not only on the path to becoming the world’s fourth-largest economy but is also the fastest-growing economy globally. He claimed that this rapid economic advancement is the true reason behind Congress’s discontent and bitterness.

The BJP spokesperson concluded by asserting that the India-U.S. trade agreement will inject new momentum into the country’s economy and strengthen India’s position on the global stage.
