India-U.S. Trade Agreement: A Boost for Local Producers

Patna, February 7: JD(U) spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan Prasad defended the India-U.S. interim trade agreement, asserting that the draft fully protects India’s interests and addresses all opposition allegations.

Prasad emphasized that this agreement presents a golden opportunity for Indian producers and exporters. He noted that India has already signed nine major trade agreements with some of the world’s largest economies, which is expected to significantly strengthen the country’s manufacturing sector.

He also mentioned that the proposed free trade agreement with the European Union and other global partnerships will further solidify India’s position as a major economic power.

The JD(U) spokesperson responded to opposition concerns regarding the dairy and agriculture sectors, stating that Prime Minister Modi has already reassured stakeholders in these areas that there is no cause for concern. He highlighted that the announcement of this partnership confirms India’s continued dominance in critical sectors like dairy and agriculture.

Prasad pointed out that Bihar is witnessing significant changes in key areas, with increased investment and ongoing improvements in policy and infrastructure. According to him, Bihar is set to emerge as a crucial contributor to the manufacturing sector in the coming years.

Additionally, he commented on cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s outstanding performance, stating that India remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, winning every match. He congratulated Suryavanshi and the entire Indian team on this remarkable achievement and wished them a bright future.

Regarding the arrest of MP Rajesh Ranjan, also known as Pappu Yadav, in a 1995 case, Prasad remarked that aside from political rhetoric, Yadav has little to say. He explained that the case is 31 years old, and the MP-MLA court had issued orders for attachment and seizure, leading to the arrest.

In response to Yadav’s arrest, LJP (Ram Vilas) MP Arun Bharti stated that all parliament members should fully respect democratic values, parliamentary decorum, and the law.
