Harshvardhan Rane Prioritizes Producer Safety in Role Selection

Mumbai, February 5: Actor Harshvardhan Rane had a remarkable year in 2025. With the re-release of ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ and the impressive earnings from ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat‘, he is optimistic that the momentum will continue into 2026. In a recent interview, he shared insights about his upcoming projects and the criteria he considers when selecting roles.

According to Rane, the success of the producer is his top priority. He believes that if the producer is secure, the film will perform well, ensuring audience satisfaction. He stated, “The first issue for me is that my producer should be safe. Then, the second issue is to make my audience happy and touch their hearts. It’s not just about winning the audience’s hearts while leaving the producer in distress.”

In a candid conversation, Rane emphasized that he prioritizes the safety of his producer when choosing any film or character. He explained, “For me, ensuring the producer’s safety comes first, followed by entertaining the audience and winning their hearts. I want to be part of films or roles that benefit my producer and are liked by the audience. Being a personal actor is less important than ensuring my producer’s safety.”

He further added that he has not yet become so selfish regarding his roles or acting that he would only think about his character while ignoring the producer’s concerns. Rane also mentioned that 2026 will be a significant year for him, with three films set to release: ‘Shila’, ‘Force 3’, and another project.

Rane revealed that his characters in these three films will be entirely different from his previous work. Humorously comparing himself to a dish, he said, “If I were to compare myself to a dish, I would say I am completely changing my taste. The style or type that people have seen me in will be entirely different in these upcoming films. I have never been seen like this in any film before.”
