Family Blames Administration for Bikers Death in Janakpuri

New Delhi, February 6: The family of a 25-year-old biker, Kamal Dhyani, has held the administration responsible for his tragic death in Janakpuri, West Delhi. Kamal’s brother, Karan, stated, “I hold the administration accountable. There were no warning signs. I learned this morning that my brother’s body was found. Police officials assured us they would support the family.”

Kamal Dhyani died after falling into a pit while returning home late at night from his job in Rohini. His body and motorcycle were discovered in the pit on Friday morning.

Delhi government minister Ashish Sood expressed his condolences, noting that ongoing construction in Janakpuri has significantly affected the area. “I have frequently visited this site and have continuously observed safety measures,” he said. “We have ordered an investigation into this incident. We stand with the family.”

Minister Pravesh Verma also visited the site with officials. He announced the suspension of three Delhi Jal Board officials: a junior engineer, an executive engineer, and an assistant engineer.

Verma explained that construction had been ongoing for three months, with barricades set up 100 meters apart on both sides. A large pit was dug overnight, and there was no traffic in that lane. “The incident that occurred here on Thursday is very unfortunate,” he remarked.

He further stated that the victim’s family would receive compensation and that stricter measures would be implemented to prevent such incidents in the future. The Delhi Jal Board has initiated an investigation, and a committee has been formed to submit a report within 24 hours.
