Delhi Government Celebrates One Year of Achievements Under BJP Leadership

New Delhi, February 8: Senior BJP leader R.P. Singh remarked on the completion of one year of the Delhi government, stating that the BJP took office a year ago and has been fulfilling every promise made to the public.

During a media interaction in New Delhi, Singh highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts to tackle issues such as garbage mountains and pollution. To combat pollution, the BJP government is introducing more electric buses to the city. Additionally, under welfare schemes, health insurance of up to 1 million rupees is being provided to individuals over the age of 70. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is leading initiatives that aim to benefit the people of Delhi.

In response to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statement advocating for the Bharat Ratna award for Veer Savarkar, Singh emphasized Savarkar’s remarkable contributions to India’s freedom struggle, including his three life sentences in the Andaman Islands. He believes Savarkar deserves the Bharat Ratna for his sacrifices.

Commenting on the disruptions in Parliament caused by opposition MPs, Singh urged them to participate constructively in the proceedings and assist in completing pending tasks. He reminded them that the Parliament is not a place for protests.

On Sunday, a program was held at Ramleela Ground to mark the one-year anniversary of the Delhi government, attended by BJP National President Nitin Naveen. During the event, the BJP government announced the addition of 500 new electric buses to Delhi’s transport system. This marks the first time in Delhi’s history that 500 electric buses have been introduced simultaneously. Over the past year, the government has consistently expanded the DTC fleet with new electric buses, bringing the total number of electric buses in Delhi to over 4,000.
