Controversy Surrounds Rani Mukerjis Mardaani 3 Amid Box Office Success

Mumbai, February 7: Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji’s film ‘Mardaani 3′ is making waves at the box office but is also embroiled in controversy. The film faces allegations of exaggerating cases of missing girls and women in its promotional campaign, creating a climate of fear for paid publicity. Responses have emerged from both the Delhi police and Yash Raj Films regarding these claims.

The Delhi police addressed the issue on the social media platform ‘X’ on Friday, stating, “Recent discussions and sensationalism surrounding missing girls in the capital have been investigated. The inquiry revealed indications that this issue was being amplified through paid promotions. Spreading fear and panic for profit or publicity will not be tolerated. Strict action will be taken against such individuals.”

A spokesperson for Yash Raj Films also responded to the allegations, asserting, “Yash Raj Films is a reputable company with a 50-year legacy tied to integrity, ethics, and transparency. We categorically reject all claims circulating on social media that ‘Mardaani 3’ has sensationalized sensitive issues like missing persons for promotional purposes. The company has no involvement in such promotions. We are confident that the administration will reveal the truth following their investigation.”

‘Mardaani 3’ is the third installment in the Mardaani franchise. The film revolves around Rani Mukerji’s character, Shivani Shivaji Roy, who works with the NIA to investigate cases of missing young girls. During her investigation, she uncovers a human trafficking ring. The film features a talented cast, including Rani Mukerji, Mallika Prasad, Janaki Bodhiwala, Abhiraj Meenawala, and Prajesh Kashyap.
