Gandhinagar, February 7: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel is well-known for his approachable demeanor and human sensitivity. A heartwarming and inspiring scene unfolded at the Anupam Primary School in PM Uttampura (Dangia), Banaskantha district, when the Chief Minister honored a promise made to a young girl.
Last year, during a video interaction with the School Management Committee (SMC), a first-grade student named Samya Prajapati innocently asked, “Grandpa, when will you visit our school?” This question touched the Chief Minister’s heart. He affectionately responded, “When I come there, I will definitely meet you.”
Time passed, but the Chief Minister did not forget this promise. On Saturday, he visited the Anupam Primary School, fulfilling his commitment. Upon arrival, he warmly interacted with the children, inquiring about their studies, the school environment, and the education system.
Samya Prajapati’s joy was palpable. Emotionally, she expressed, “I told Grandpa that you would come to meet us. He remembered my words, and today my dream and my school’s dream have come true.”
Samya also recited a verse in front of the Chief Minister. In response, Bhupendra Patel blessed her, saying, “Study hard, become a collector when you grow up, and then come to meet me.”
In return, Samya confidently promised, “I will definitely come to meet you when I grow up.”
The Chief Minister’s simplicity, sensitivity, and affection for children have inspired not only the school community but also the members of the School Management Committees across the region and the state.
