Channi Supports Rahul Gandhis Betrayal Remarks Against Bittu

New Delhi, February 5: Former Punjab Chief Minister and Congress MP Charanjit Singh Channi has expressed his support for Rahul Gandhi‘s recent comments labeling central minister Ravneet Singh Bittu as a traitor.

Channi stated that Gandhi’s remarks were justified, emphasizing that Bittu’s actions warranted such a description.

In a media interaction in New Delhi, Channi explained that a conversation took place between Rahul Gandhi and Ravneet Singh Bittu at the gate, which the BJP has criticized. Gandhi referred to Bittu as a “traitor friend,” highlighting that Bittu received significant support from the Congress party when he was a member. However, he abandoned the party when it needed him the most during the elections. Channi questioned, “If he is not a traitor, then what is he?” He firmly backed Gandhi’s assessment, asserting that Bittu’s betrayal was a clear deception against the Congress party.

Channi further noted that Bittu had betrayed the party in exchange for favors. “Everyone knows he deceived the party, which is why I support Rahul Gandhi‘s statement,” he added.

In a separate conversation, Bittu claimed that Gandhi attempted to confront him when he did not shake hands. He mentioned that KC Venugopal and other Congress leaders had to intervene to prevent a confrontation. Bittu expressed that seeing Gandhi causes him daily pain, which was evident in both Gandhi’s words and demeanor. He accused Gandhi’s supporters of past atrocities against Sikhs, stating that they have always been enemies of the Sikh community.
