Patna, February 6: BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal has countered the statements made by Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav in the Bihar Assembly. During the budget session, Yadav claimed that the BJP-NDA spent ₹40,000 crore to defeat him. He also alleged that ₹10,000 was transferred to women’s bank accounts during the Bihar Assembly elections to secure their votes for the NDA.
In response, Jaiswal stated that Yadav’s own actions are sufficient to ensure his defeat. He pointed out that Yadav purchased a house in a defense colony for ₹4.5 lakh. Jaiswal accused Yadav’s party of fostering an environment of kidnapping, murder, and extortion during their tenure, noting that streets would be deserted after 6 PM. He suggested that Yadav should apologize for his actions and those of his parents before making further comments.
Jaiswal emphasized that Yadav lacks the credibility to speak on behalf of Bihar’s women. He advised Yadav to consult his mother and sisters before making any remarks.
Additionally, Jaiswal criticized Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, stating that his comments lack seriousness. He suggested that Gandhi struggles to accept that a person from a poor background is now the Prime Minister of India. Jaiswal recommended that Gandhi focus on his foreign trips and remain quiet, asserting that he is not mature enough for political discourse.
Referring to JP Nadda’s remarks about Gandhi being naïve, Jaiswal agreed, stating that Gandhi behaves as if he owns the country, while the public stands firmly with Prime Minister Modi for their future.
Jaiswal also accused Gandhi of disrespecting the Sikh community, particularly for calling Union Minister Ravneet Bittu a traitor, which he believes reflects Gandhi’s mindset. He asserted that disrespecting a community that has made countless sacrifices for the nation is unbecoming of Gandhi.
