Bihar Chief Minister Inspects Development Projects in Patna

Patna, February 5: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is actively inspecting ongoing development projects across the state. He is addressing shortcomings and providing directives to relevant officials. On Thursday, he visited the Diwha tourism ghat along the banks of the Ganges River in Patna to review development activities.

During the inspection, officials informed the Chief Minister that the tourism department is working on developing Janardan Ghat as a tourism site. Kumar instructed officials to construct a comprehensive garden at the Diwha tourism ghat, emphasizing the need to convert it into a solid ghat. This upgrade will facilitate proper arrangements for Ganga Aarti, allowing a large number of visitors to enjoy the experience and creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere in the area.

The Chief Minister also stressed the importance of developing basic and quality tourist facilities for visitors coming to enjoy the Ganges, ensuring they face no inconveniences.

Following this, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inspected the construction of a new six-lane Ganga bridge being built parallel to the JP Setu. He directed officials to expedite the construction process to ensure timely completion, which will ease traffic pressure on the old JP Setu. This new bridge will play a crucial role in facilitating travel between North and South Bihar.

Present at the event were the Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Deepak Kumar, Secretary Kumar Ravi, and Secretary of the Tourism Department Nilesh Ramchandra Devre, among other senior officials. Notably, on Wednesday, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inspected redevelopment works at Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), issuing directives for quality work.
