Beijing, February 4: The annual conference on Xi Jinping’s cultural thoughts was held on February 3 in the capital city of Beijing. Over 100 experts and scholars from Chinese social science research institutions and universities participated in the event.
During the conference, experts emphasized that Xi Jinping’s cultural thoughts represent a rich development of Marxist cultural theory and a theoretical summary of contemporary Chinese cultural practices. They noted that these thoughts serve as a powerful ideological tool and scientific guide for advancing ideological and cultural work, promoting cultural prosperity, and building a culturally strong nation in this new era.
Experts also highlighted the strategic task outlined in the fourth plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC, which calls for encouraging cultural innovation and creativity across the country to promote the prosperity and development of socialist culture. They stressed that this initiative should be guided by Xi Jinping’s cultural thoughts.
Additionally, they discussed the importance of exploring innovative elements of Chinese civilization, establishing a vibrant practice of cultural development in the new era, following the trends of information technology development, learning from the achievements of human civilization, gaining strong momentum for cultural development, and promoting cultural prosperity.
The conference also focused on deepening the research and interpretation of Xi Jinping’s cultural thoughts by adhering to academic research principles, utilizing multidisciplinary academic resources, fostering a positive and healthy academic environment, and strengthening International academic exchanges and cooperation.
