Mumbai, February 5: Actor Ahan Shetty is thrilled with the success of his recently released film, ‘Border 2’. Amidst the positive responses, he shared how he manages his nerves before shooting crucial scenes.
In an exclusive interview, Ahan revealed that music is his greatest ally. He stated, “Before a scene, I put on noise-canceling headphones. Then, I sit alone in the van or tent and listen to music. I choose different genres for each scene that resonate with its emotion. This helps me block out the pressure and any external noise. I then focus solely on myself and the scene. While the nerves don’t completely disappear, I manage them well.”
In ‘Border 2’, Ahan portrays a Navy officer. The film features several underwater sequences for which he underwent special training. Ahan mentioned that during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, he obtained a Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) license. This international scuba diving certification is awarded after completing theory, pool training, and open-water dives.
Ahan added, “I was part of the swimming team in school, so being in the water feels natural to me. When director Anurag Singh narrated the story and mentioned the water sequences, I was very excited. We began training two months before filming. While some people felt anxious in the water, I found it quite easy. The set had an excellent dive team and safety crew. Everything looked great on screen, and I was very excited about each scene.”
‘Border 2’ is based on the Battle of Basantar during the 1971 India-Pakistan war. This significant battle saw Indian soldiers bravely defeat their enemies and secure the Punjab-Jammu sector.
The film also stars Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Varun Dhawan in key roles.
