AAP Leaders Detained While Mourning Accident Victim in Delhi

New Delhi, February 8: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Delhi President Saurabh Bhardwaj, along with other party leaders, visited the residence of Kamal Dhyani in Janakpuri on Sunday. Dhyani tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident caused by a pothole. Upon their arrival, the police detained them.

Following their detention, Bhardwaj raised concerns about law and order in the capital. Speaking to reporters, he stated that no one is paying attention to the deteriorating situation. He accused authorities of attempting to silence those who voice their concerns, emphasizing that no action is being taken.

“This is a clear example of oppression,” Bhardwaj remarked. “No one has come forward to assist Dhyani’s family, and no complaint has been registered.”

He further explained that Dhyani’s parents, brother, and relatives spent the entire night visiting six police stations, yet their complaints went unheard. “Today, when we gathered here for a candlelight march, police vehicles and forces arrived in full strength, even displaying Dhyani’s photo,” he added.

Bhardwaj criticized the lack of attention to law and order, regardless of whether it concerns slums or high-rise buildings. “Only hooliganism prevails. Those who raise their voices are being silenced, and nothing productive is being done. We will continue to speak out,” he asserted.

He highlighted the level of tyranny present, noting that despite no complaints being registered, Dhyani’s parents had visited six police stations. “As we gather to pay tribute, the police are detaining us,” he said.

Bhardwaj concluded by stating that the people of Delhi are watching. “They will respond when the time comes. The citizens are suffering under BJP rule, and there is no one to listen to their problems. Everyone is focused solely on their own interests.”
