Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Inaugurates Water Park in Shahdol

Shahdol, February 9: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav addressed an event on Sunday to inaugurate a water park built by the municipality at a cost of ₹20 crore in the Dhanpuri area of Shahdol district. He emphasized that the state government’s identity is defined by “true promises and solid work.” Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the state government is committed to the comprehensive development of tribal communities, focusing on their political, economic, and social empowerment.

CM Mohan Yadav extended his best wishes for Mata Shabari Jayanti. He remarked that Shabari Maiya, a symbol of sincere devotion and dedication, waited her entire life for Lord Ram. This devoted love not only rewarded Mata Shabari but also Lord Ram himself. The essence of human love reflects the eternal culture of our society, highlighting that there is no place for casteism in our community.

The Chief Minister announced the construction of a Gita Bhawan, which will facilitate educational activities such as libraries and coaching for local students. He also declared the development of the Shahdol Irrigation Complex.

This initiative includes four micro-irrigation projects proposed on the Son River. With an estimated budget of ₹2,300 crore, this plan aims to enhance irrigation across 50,000 hectares, benefiting 122 villages. Additionally, CM Mohan Yadav announced the establishment of a Nagar Panchayat in Jaitpur. He stated that seat increases at Shahdol Medical College will be considered upon receiving proposals from the department.

The Chief Minister also revealed plans for constructing 45 kilometers of roads in Shahdol at a cost of ₹160 crore and building new facilities for the Arts and Science faculties at Jaitpur College. Furthermore, he announced the initiation of a new college and approved the construction of a 3-kilometer model road.

CM Yadav affirmed the government’s commitment to the welfare of women, highlighting various initiatives like the Ladli Behna scheme aimed at women’s empowerment. Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the Lakhsapathi Didi and Lakhsapathi Drone Didi schemes are being implemented, along with a 2% discount for women on property registrations. Reservations for women in Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha are also on the horizon. He emphasized that the future belongs to women, as our culture has flourished based on their contributions. Under Modi’s leadership, India’s global stature is continuously rising, establishing the nation as a major economic power. The Prime Minister has prioritized farmers’ interests in agreements with the United States. Both the central and state governments prioritize the welfare of youth, the poor, farmers, and women.

CM Yadav noted that Madhya Pradesh is making consistent progress in agriculture and industry. The state’s irrigation area has expanded to 4.4 million hectares, providing extensive employment opportunities for youth. To enhance farming profitability and increase farmers’ incomes, the year 2026 will be celebrated as the Farmer Welfare Year. The government plans to provide 3 million solar pumps to make farmers self-reliant in electricity. Special arrangements have also been made for dairy and pulse production, which will improve the nutritional status of families.
