Gujarat NCC Cadets Honored for Republic Day Participation

Gandhinagar, February 8: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel honored Gujarat’s National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets at a ‘Home Ceremony’ held at Lok Bhavan in Gandhinagar on Saturday. These cadets represented the state during the 77th Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi. They returned on January 30 after participating in the Gujarat NCC Republic Day camp.

During the camp, the cadets took part in national events, including the Republic Day parade on Kartavya Path, a Guard of Honor, the Prime Minister’s rally, and various cultural programs, all while maintaining high standards of discipline and performance.

Addressing the cadets, the Chief Minister emphasized that the NCC is not just an organization but a school that teaches an ideal lifestyle based on unity and discipline. He stated that without discipline, neither individuals nor nations can progress. He noted that the training received through the NCC fosters character and responsibility from a young age.

During the ceremony, nine cadets were awarded certificates of excellence for their achievements. Chief Minister Patel also launched the Cadet Journal-2026 and presented the NCC Rajkot with the Gujarat Inter-Group Championship flag for overall performance in various NCC activities throughout the year.

Congratulating the cadets, Patel remarked that the NCC empowers the youth of the nation with confidence, discipline, sensitivity, and a spirit of ‘Nation First.’ He referenced Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that the lessons of unity and discipline learned at a young age play a crucial role in leadership and public service. He added that the Prime Minister leads the country with the same spirit of service and dedication.
