RSS Celebrates 100 Years with Grand Event in Mumbai

Mumbai, February 8: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) marked its centenary with a two-day event titled ‘Centenary Journey of the Sangh’ in Mumbai. The chief address was delivered by RSS Chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat. The event attracted numerous notable personalities, including film director Subhash Ghai, actress and MP Hema Malini, and actor Salman Khan.

During the ‘New Horizons’ lecture series, Dr. Bhagwat shared his insights, which were well-received by all attendees. Subhash Ghai praised Bhagwat’s words in an Instagram post, calling them remarkable.

He stated, “Only our national character can make India a global leader. India is not just a geographical entity; it embodies the essence of its people. Hinduism is not merely a religion; it is a philosophy. We must embrace and respect everyone, transcending religions, castes, or any form of discrimination, for India to truly shine, not through criticism of one another.”

Ghai emphasized that he heard these profound and valuable words from Mohan Bhagwat with clarity and conviction. He described the RSS as an organization working for the nation’s interest, striving to unite society and playing a crucial role in fostering a sense of unity and patriotism.

In reference to Salman Khan, Dr. Bhagwat remarked, “What Salman Khan wears in cinema is what college students wear. When asked why, they say they don’t know. Society is driven by fashion, and those who create fashion are the true leaders and trustworthy figures.”

The ‘New Horizons’ lecture featured several stars, including Subhash Ghai, Hema Malini, singer Anuradha Paudwal, industrialist Kumar Mangalam Birla, NSE Chairman Ashish Chauhan, Kotak Mahindra Securities’ Nilesh Shah, ‘The Kerala Story 2’ producer Vipul Shah, T-Series’ Ramesh Taurani, and Marathi actors Prasad Oak, Bhau Kadam, Sunil Barve, along with Parsi community leader Dastur Khursheed Dastur.
