Noida, February 7: This February, Noida residents can look forward to a spectacular event. A grand Flower Show will take place from February 19 to 22, showcasing a vibrant world of flowers. The event will be held at Shivalik Park, near Shilpahaat in Sector 33A.
Vandana Tripathi, the Additional Chief Executive Officer of the Noida Authority, stated that this four-day Flower Show will be a unique blend of nature, art, and culture. The main attraction will be a replica of the Kedarnath Temple, crafted entirely from flowers. Standing approximately 30 feet long and 40 feet high, the temple will be adorned with various species of blooms. Additionally, the main entrance will also feature a Kedarnath theme, measuring 22 feet in length and about 25 feet in height.
In front of the Kedarnath Temple, floral sculptures of a trident, damru, and Nandi will be displayed, each measuring around 8 feet in length and 3 feet in height. A 6-foot tall elephant made from bitter gourd will also be a focal point for visitors. The Flower Show will emphasize beautification, with the main pathway decorated using 7-foot tall baskets. Other features will include basket arrangements for potted flowers, an 8-foot tall top basket flow, and impressive entrance pathways measuring 10 feet in length and 12 feet in height. Floral sculptures such as a dholak-shaped basket step, a floral replica of a matka, a Buddha lotus, and other captivating designs will also be created.
Several prestigious institutions will set up their exhibitions at the Flower Show, including Northern Railway, New Delhi Municipal Corporation, South Delhi Municipal Corporation, Indian Army, Kota House, Bharat Petroleum, LG, Adobe Systems, NIIT, Delhi Public School, Yamuna Expressway Authority, and Greater Noida Authority.
In terms of Events, the Flower Show will be inaugurated on February 19 by Dr. Mahesh Sharma, MP from Gautam Buddh Nagar, and Pankaj Singh, MLA from Noida. The inauguration will feature a performance by the ITBP band. On February 20, the Savitribai Phule Band will present a musical performance. On February 21, judges will evaluate the gardens created by various institutions, and winners will be awarded. A painting competition for school children will be held on February 22, followed by the distribution of prizes.
The closing ceremony on the same day will include a poetry conference featuring renowned poets such as Dr. Vishnu Saxena, Dr. Arjun Shishodia, Anil Agvanshi, Shambhu Shikhar, Kalpana Shukla, and Vinod Pandey. The Flower Show will feature over 90 stalls, including 38 nurseries, with some coming from Kalimpong and Bhimtal. Visitors will find seeds, fertilizers, nursery products, farming tools, decorative plants, pesticides, pots, and all essential gardening supplies. Overall, this Flower Show promises to be a memorable experience of nature and cultural delight for the people of Noida.
