Dehradun, February 6: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s ‘Exam Pe Charcha‘ program at St. Agnes School on Nashvilla Road. The Chief Minister encouraged students, stating that the entire nation is engaged in the ninth edition of PM Modi‘s initiative. This event has evolved from mere dialogue into a national movement. PM Modi‘s message teaches us that exams can be a part of life, but they do not define our entire existence.
CM Dhami shared his own school experiences, emphasizing that school years are invaluable and cannot be reclaimed. He urged students to engage in studies alongside sports and other activities. He described exams as an opportunity for students to showcase their best selves with confidence, patience, and calmness. Passing exams is not the only measure of capability; there are many other goals in life.
The Chief Minister called on students to set goals and move forward with priorities, encouraging them to maintain a positive mindset and remain free from exam pressure. He also urged parents not to impose unnecessary pressure on their children or compare them to others.
Additionally, CM Dhami wrote on the social media platform X, “Through today’s ‘Exam Pe Charcha’ program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has provided students across the country with new perspectives, direction, and confidence. He guided students by stating that while dreaming is essential, prioritizing action is the key to success. He reassured students that exams should not be seen as punishment but as an opportunity for self-assessment. He emphasized the importance of prioritizing board exams, deeply understanding the syllabus, and focusing on concept-based learning. Students shared experiences from the ‘Exam Warrior’ book, explaining how it helped them prepare for exams and manage stress. The Prime Minister’s direct communication with students was not only inspiring but also provided a positive and balanced perspective on education and life.”
Under ‘Exam Pe Charcha 2026’, over four crore students, teachers, and parents have registered nationwide, breaking previous Guinness World Records. This year, approximately 700,000 students, over 53,000 teachers, and more than 14,000 parents from Uttarakhand have participated, compared to last year’s 298,000 students.
One of the ten inspiring videos created by students from the state has been selected at the national level.
