Amaravati, February 5: Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the president of the YSR Congress Party, issued a stern warning to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday. He stated that if the ‘jungle raj’ continues in the state, party workers will respond decisively.
Reddy expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in Andhra Pradesh, claiming that Naidu is misusing government and administrative systems for his political gain.
The remarks came during a media interaction after Reddy met with the family of former minister Ambati Rambabu in Guntur to offer condolences.
He criticized Naidu for attempting to distort facts regarding the Tirupati laddu contamination case after his lies were exposed. Reddy noted that despite receiving a clean chit from central laboratories, the coalition government is trying to form another committee to investigate the issue further. This decision was made during a cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
Reddy emphasized that the charge sheet filed by the CBI’s Special Investigation Team (SIT), under the Supreme Court‘s supervision, does not mention the use of animal fat in the laddu. Furthermore, no names of former TTD presidents or YSRCP members appear in the charge sheet.
He pointed out that reports from the NDDDB and NDRI clearly indicate that no animal fat was found in the ghee samples sent after Naidu’s government took office.
Despite the evidence revealing Naidu’s falsehoods, Reddy accused him of spreading misinformation to divert public attention and of using inflammatory posters to defame political opponents, all under police supervision.
Reddy described this as a conspiracy involving Naidu, his son Nara Lokesh, and Pawan Kalyan, aimed at distracting from the lab reports.
He also highlighted that leaders like Ambati Rambabu, Jogi Ramesh, Vidudala Rajani, Kakani Govardhan Reddy, and Bolla Brahmanayudu faced false charges for questioning the misuse of power. Additionally, TDP goons attacked the homes of Rambabu and Ramesh with deadly weapons.
The former chief minister stated that Rambabu has become a victim of TDP’s thuggery, which underscores the ongoing ‘jungle raj’ in the state.
He warned, “We will not remain silent. In the coming days, we will consider all options and fight this battle with full strength.” Reddy asserted that all those responsible for these attacks will face serious consequences in the future.
