
London, February 4: A young man in his twenties has died following a stabbing near the city center of Leicester, UK. Local police reported the incident on Wednesday.
According to authorities, the attack occurred on Tuesday evening. The victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
In connection with the case, police have arrested an 18-year-old male on suspicion of murder. He is currently in police custody. Initial investigations suggest that the incident stemmed from a dispute between two individuals. A murder investigation has been launched by the police.
Earlier on Wednesday, local media reported a “serious incident” near De Montfort University, as referenced in a statement from the university.
In a separate incident, another stabbing occurred recently in northwest London. The Metropolitan Police reported that on January 31, a woman was attacked with a knife. The 50-year-old victim was found in critical condition and was pronounced dead at the scene. A 30-year-old man has been arrested on murder charges, with police indicating that the suspect and victim were known to each other.
Additionally, a mass stabbing incident last October near a synagogue in Manchester resulted in at least two fatalities and several injuries. Armed police responded to the scene, where the alleged attacker was shot. Reports confirmed that the incident involved both stabbings and a vehicle-related assault.
