Chennai, February 21: In a significant organizational move ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, actor-turned-politician Vijay has announced the appointment of election observers for his party, Tamilga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK).

In a statement released on Saturday, Vijay emphasized that the party has established a structured monitoring mechanism to strengthen grassroots campaigning and ensure coordinated efforts at the district and constituency levels.

According to the announcement, N. Anand, K.A. Sengottaiyan, and Adhav Arjun have been appointed as chief observers for the assembly elections. These senior leaders will operate under Vijay’s direct guidance and supervision.

The chief observers will work closely with the party headquarters and collaborate with the central war room. Vijay stated that all activities will be conducted according to strategic directives issued from the headquarters, ensuring a unified and disciplined election campaign.

The observers are tasked with closely monitoring election preparations in the districts and assembly constituencies. Their responsibilities include coordinating grassroots activities before the elections, conducting meetings with party workers, reviewing organizational capacity at the booth level, and ensuring effective communication between party leadership and local units.

Vijay highlighted that the district-level election observers, including General Secretary N. Anand and other appointed officials, will coordinate with the chief observers to implement the party’s electoral strategy. Joint observers and members of the TVK executive at all levels have been instructed to provide full support based on their assigned districts.

Vijay noted that the upcoming assembly elections are crucial for the party’s political journey. A strong organizational structure and disciplined coordination will be the foundation of their success. This move signals TVK’s intention to bolster its internal structure and ramp up grassroots mobilization as it prepares for its first major electoral contest. With the appointment of observers and the activation of a centralized war room, the party appears focused on systematic planning and strengthening grassroots engagement ahead of the elections.
