Agartala, February 18: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha stated on Tuesday that Politics based on ethnicity and communalism is neither desirable nor constructive. He emphasized that the focus of governance should be on development and unity.
While addressing a public gathering organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Unakoti district, the Chief Minister criticized attempts to mislead the public with demands for ‘Tipraland’ and ‘Greater Tipraland.’
He remarked that certain political movements are trying to exploit sensitive ethnic sentiments to confuse innocent tribal people.
Saha noted that Prime Minister Modi is tirelessly working for the welfare of all sections of society.
During the event, the Chief Minister welcomed 215 voters from 57 families who recently joined the BJP.
He mentioned that the state government is continuously striving for the development of Kokborok and other minority languages.
Furthermore, he asserted that the government is committed to transparency and good governance. They are working towards the socio-economic development of all societal segments to build a new Tripura.
Welcoming the new members to the BJP, the Chief Minister stated that their decision reflects their trust in the party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He added that the significant presence of tribal brothers and sisters today demonstrates their confidence in the BJP and the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas.’
Saha concluded by stating that Prime Minister Modi has transformed the political landscape of the country by exemplifying corruption-free governance.
He affirmed that the Tripura government is also dedicated to empowering tribal communities and ensuring inclusive development while maintaining transparency.
