Mumbai, February 4: Netflix’s upcoming drama film “Ikka” is set to stream soon. This film is particularly special as it marks the reunion of Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna on screen after 29 years.
In addition to Sunny and Akshaye, the cast includes Dia Mirza, Tilottama Shome, and Sanjeeda Sheikh, among others. Recently, at a Netflix event, actress Tilottama Shome shared a humorous anecdote about working with Sunny Deol. She recounted, “Most of my scenes are with Sunny Deol. One day, during a close-up shot of Sunny, two flies were buzzing around his eyes. One flew away, but the other landed on his waterline. Still, Sunny did not call for a cut. I was trying to finish my dialogue quickly because the fly was crawling and I was getting distracted.”
After the shot, she asked him, “Sir, why didn’t you call cut?” Sunny replied, “I didn’t want to ruin my take.”
Tilottama further noted that even after all these years, Sunny Deol remains generous and professional. Typically, people call for a cut when they feel uncomfortable, but he did not. This was a very emotional moment for her.
The film “Ikka” is a courtroom thriller. It tells the story of an honest and renowned lawyer who is forced to defend a murder suspect—the very person whose career he had previously ruined. The lawyer must resort to every possible means to win the case, whether right or wrong, as losing would mean losing everything. Directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra, this series will soon be available for streaming on Netflix.
