Spa Employee Assaulted in Thiruvalla: Police Arrest Three Suspects

Thiruvalla, February 6: A shocking incident has emerged from Thiruvalla city in Kerala’s Pathanamthitta district, where a female employee at a spa was allegedly assaulted and raped. Reports indicate that a gang attacked the spa after their extortion demands were rejected, leading to violence against the staff and the assault of the woman.

The police have arrested three suspects in connection with the case, while efforts are ongoing to locate three additional individuals.

The incident took place on February 1 at a spa located in the Manjadi area of Thiruvalla. According to the complaint, Subin Alexander, known as ‘Marana Subin,’ along with five accomplices, entered the spa around 3:30 PM demanding extortion money. When the woman managing the spa refused to pay, the gang began assaulting her and the staff.

The complaint states that one female employee was forcibly dragged into a nearby room, where she was threatened with a knife and subsequently raped. Additionally, a customer present at the spa was also taken into the same room.

It is alleged that the gang photographed and filmed the assault, coercing both the customer and the spa owner into submission.

The suspects reportedly assaulted the customer as well and fled the scene with ₹25,000 taken from the spa. Before leaving, they threatened that severe consequences would follow if the incident was reported to the police.

Although the incident occurred on February 1, the police registered the case after some time and initially kept details confidential. The situation escalated when CCTV footage from the spa surfaced, showing the gang harassing women inside, which went viral on social media, increasing pressure on law enforcement.

So far, police have arrested Subin and two other suspects, placing them in judicial custody. A total of six individuals have been named as suspects, and raids are underway to apprehend the three remaining fugitives.
