New Delhi, February 5: Central Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has sharply responded to Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi‘s comments regarding Central State Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu. Chouhan stated that Gandhi has shifted from opposing the party to opposing the nation, warning that such a mindset will lead Congress nowhere.
In support of Ravneet Singh Bittu, Chouhan remarked, “Inappropriate comments are being made against the Central State Minister. To label a central minister, whose family has fought against terrorism and received the highest honors, as a ‘traitor’ reflects Rahul Gandhi’s despair and frustration.”
He criticized Congress leaders for making remarks on the steps of Parliament, likening their behavior to that of student politicians who often hurl “cheap comments” at each other. Chouhan emphasized that Gandhi’s actions are increasingly seen as anti-national. “The public is watching the behavior of Gandhi and the Congress party. This mentality will lead Congress nowhere,” he added.
Chouhan also accused the opposition of attempting to undermine the dignity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha. “The Prime Minister is not just an individual; he represents a constitutional position, dignity, and self-respect. The public has previously punished Congress for disrespecting the Prime Minister, and they will do so again,” he asserted.
Regarding the uproar in the House over former Army Chief M.M. Naravane’s book, Chouhan stated that the Congress party is in a state of despair and has become ideologically bankrupt, leading them to oppose individuals while also opposing the nation.
