Not only does she prioritize her fitness, but she also inspires many to adopt a healthier way of living. On Monday, she shared a video on Instagram demonstrating the Tiger Pose (Vyaghrasana).
In her post, Shilpa highlighted the significance of this yoga pose, stating, “Moving towards peace.” She explained, “This asana improves body balance and creates better coordination between the mind and body. It enhances focus and strengthens the muscles in the lower back, glutes, hamstrings, and abdomen, which increases core strength.”
Along with discussing its benefits, she advised individuals suffering from lower back pain or knee issues to avoid practicing this pose.
The Tiger Pose mimics the posture of a tiger, which is why it is also referred to as the Tiger Pose. It strengthens the muscles of the lower back and spine, providing relief from back pain caused by prolonged sitting.
The Ministry of AYUSH also shared insights on the Tiger Pose, noting that regular practice leads to numerous positive changes in the body. According to the ministry, this asana strengthens the spinal muscles and stabilizes the lower body. It enhances spinal flexibility, reducing back problems and promoting a more active lifestyle.
Additionally, it improves digestion and helps reduce stress. Regular practice can alleviate back pain and enhance overall fitness.
