Shahid Kapoors O Romeo Faces Controversy Ahead of Release

Mumbai, February 7: Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming film ‘O Romeo’ is encountering significant controversy prior to its release. Amidst this, the new song ‘Paan Ki Dukaan’ has been launched, and fans are showing great enthusiasm for it.

At an event in Mumbai, actor Shahid Kapoor unveiled the vibrant dance track ‘Paan Ki Dukaan’. This high-energy number showcases Shahid’s impressive swag and dance moves, captivating audiences with its infectious rhythm. The song is so compelling that it compels everyone to dance along. Additionally, the presence of actress Disha Patani adds an extra charm, as her graceful and glamorous performance resonates well with fans.

The song features vocals by Sukhwinder Singh and Rekha Bhardwaj, with lyrics penned by the renowned Gulzar and music composed by Vishal Bhardwaj.

Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and presented by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film is produced under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson ENTERTAINMENT. Alongside Shahid, the cast includes Trupti Dimri, Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwari, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Farida Jalal in pivotal roles.

The film is based on Hussain Zaidi’s book ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’, where Shahid portrays a mafia don named Hussain Ustara, while Trupti Dimri plays the role of Sapna, also known as Sapna Didi.

It is worth noting that the film’s release has sparked considerable debate. Hussain Ustara’s daughter, Sanobar Sheikh, has filed a petition in court seeking to halt the film’s release, claiming that Shahid’s character is inspired by her father and that the film misrepresents him.

However, both Vishal Bhardwaj and Hussain Zaidi have clarified that the film is not a biopic of Hussain Ustara Sheikh but rather an artistic narrative inspired by various elements, with fictional characters.
